Beach yoga (July & August)

Wednesdays at 8:00am, Summerhouse Park Beach, Miller Lake

Join us outside at Summerhouse Park Beach, Miller Lake for weekly morning yoga! There is nothing like practicing yoga surrounded by trees and fresh air and water. Beach Yoga is appropriate for beginners, free for people camping at the park, or drop in for $15.

Bring a towel, no mat necessary.

Mindful hatha yoga flow

Tuesdays at 6:30pm  + Thursdays at 9:30am, Lion's Head, Anglican Church

75 minute class

These weekly Mindfulness Hatha Flow classes are a great way to gain an understanding of how yoga and mindfulness work together to challenge your body and mind.   When we practice mindfulness and yoga we can become more aware of our thinking patterns (especially when presented with physical challenge) and notice when and how we spend our metal energy.

Mindfulness yoga is a beautiful gateway to exploring self-care through awareness, curiosity and self-compassion. The multi-level class is designed to support beginners while providing more advanced yogis with challenge.  You can choose from a number of variations and modifications to help you find comfort, support and challenge in your practice.

You’ll enjoy lots of individualized attention, one on one adjustment and alignment tips, as well as long juicy savasanas!

$15 to drop in or $135 for a 10 class pass (to be completed in 3 months).

mindful chair yoga

The Mindful Chair Yoga class is a perfect opportunity to explore yoga postures in an active yet accessible way for healing, strength and mobility.    You’ll find a surprisingly energizing practice with standing postures and creative ways to utilize the chair for support. Individual guidance is given to cultivate intentional breath and body awareness throughout the practice.

Each class begins and ends with attention to the breath, sensations of breathing and the healing qualities of stillness.  A strong focus throughout the class is on strengthening self-compassion and shifting negative self-talk into positive affirmations.
